- Transmission mounting pattern — the same engine can pair with different transmission bell-housing configurations across models
- ECU and wiring harness — even within the same engine code, model-specific ECU calibration and harness connectors can differ
- Accessory brackets — AC compressor mounts, alternator brackets, and engine mount points sometimes vary by chassis even when the core engine is identical
